LEGO THERAPY IN SCHOOLS

DESCRIPTION:

Initially developed as an intervention to develop the social communication skills of children diagnosed with autistic spectrum conditions, the training will consider how Lego therapy can be used when working with children with a variety of different related to: social skills, social communications, speech and language difficulties, self-control, self-regulation. The training will provide you with all of the information and resources that you will need to set up a LEGO therapy group (except the LEGO!).

You will have the chance to try out the various roles which children in your groups will take and think about how you will adapt the programme and use it to set individualised targets. We will consider long-term monitoring of progress and how this can be linked to the Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle. PLACES ARE LIMITED TO 1 PER SCHOOL
