Course Name:   Spring Term Conference 2016 - Every child a mover.  Providing young children with the physical experiences they need.

Date:   Tuesday 23rd February 2016       Time:    9.00am - 3.30pm

Venue:   Enterprise Centre, Bridge Street, Derby, DE1 3LD

Young children have strong inner drives to move, constantly showing us their need for and pleasure in movement. Amid national concerns for children's physical health, the EYFS emphasises physical development as a 'prime' area of learning and development, recognising the crucial significance of movement and physicality for children from birth onwards.

Jan White will inspire and support practitioners to develop outdoor environments that strongly promote physical development and encourage active, movement based learning by:

  • Exploring why physical development is so important to children's lives and why it is a prime area
  • Exploring how control, coordination and confidence in movement actually come about
  • Considering how to create a stimulating, active and movement rich outdoor environment that provides children with the development opportunities they need.

Cost Per Delegate;  £150  (£120 for members of the NEEDU package)   £60 Per PVI's/Childminders

Please Note - This includes the days training plus lunch and refreshments.
