· The powerful ways adults can ‘model’ the pleasure of reading
· The development of a reading culture
· Ways of auditing and choosing suitable reading material

· Inspirational ideas for sharing books
· The importance of story-time

Squiggle Me Into a Writer: Squiggle me into a writer is the next stage in the child’s early writing process. We take the principles of Squiggle whilst you wiggle and develop them further into the actual writing of letters (both print and cursive styles are available). Squiggle is based on neuroscientific principles and is proven to accelerate writing.
Active Literacy: This session will focus on early mark making and how to generate excitement for literacy (with practical ideas) in both staff and children; striking a perfect balance between a play based and a formal curriculum, both indoors and out and all on a shoestring.
Cost per delegate; This includes the days training plus lunch and refreshments.
Delegate rate - £150 (£120 for schools in the NEEDU Package) PVI’s / Childminders - £60
